Jason James
Dedicated Chiropractor / Entrepreneur / Family Man
Dr. James was born and raised in Keokuk, Iowa, where he developed a strong sense of community and service from an early age. After graduating high school, he answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army.
He was honored to be part of the elite 82nd Airborne Division, where he trained extensively as a Infantry Paratrooper. However, during a routine airborne training exercise, Dr. James suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and a severe spinal injury—an event that would alter the course of his life in ways he never expected.
During his recovery, Dr. James was introduced to chiropractic care, an experience that sparked a deep appreciation for the field and its ability to heal without the need for invasive procedures or medication. This personal encounter with chiropractic care inspired him to pursue a career dedicated to helping others overcome pain and improve their quality of life.
After completing his military service, Dr. James enrolled at Palmer College of Chiropractic, where he immersed himself in the science and art of chiropractic healing. He chose to specialize in the Gonstead technique, a highly precise and results-driven approach to spinal care. His firsthand experience with back pain and injury gives him a unique perspective and empathy for his patients, allowing him to provide effective, compassionate care tailored to their individual needs.
Beyond his dedication to chiropractic care, Dr. James is a true entrepreneur at heart. He is constantly thinking of ways to improve his practice, enhance patient care, and contribute to the field of chiropractic as a whole. His passion for business and innovation keeps him engaged in developing new strategies to better serve his patients and expand his impact in the community.
In 2007, Dr. James and his wife made the heartfelt decision to return to Keokuk, the town that shaped him, to give back to the friends, family, and neighbors who have supported him throughout his journey. His mission is to provide high-quality chiropractic care to the people of his hometown, helping them live healthier, pain-free lives.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. James is a devoted family man. He has been happily married for 25 years and is the proud father of four grown children. His greatest joy, however, comes from being a grandfather to his three wonderful grandchildren. When he’s not in the office or thinking about new ways to enhance patient care, he loves spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren, making memories and cherishing the moments that truly matter.

His passion for helping others, combined with his deep-rooted connection to his community, drives him to make a difference every day.
